7 Things Dachshund Parents Have to Deal With

The Dachshund is one of the well-known dog breeds in the world. Originated from Germany, this long bodied canine was made to hunt badgers. Even the name Dachshund literally means "Badger Dog". This breed attracted many pet lovers out there due to their temperament. But what is it really like owning a Dachshund?

#1 Woof! Woof! BARK! SQUIRREL!!!!

If there is one thing almost Doxie owners experience, it's the hound's relentless barking. Dachshunds LOVE to bark. They bark at cats, people passing by, other dogs, random noises and even your granny's umbrella.  These barking sessions are often really hard to stop. Not to mention their barks are surprisingly loud for a small dog.

#2 We share or you sleep over there!



Dachshunds have a strong belief that it is in the Republic of Dachshund Law no. 2364 that they get on your furnitures, most specifically your bed. They would immediately jump on the bed once they get the chance to. They love burrowing under pillows and blankets much to the surprise of their owners when they accidentally get sat on.

If there is another thing dachshund parents would say they've experienced... it's their little friend's stubborn attitude. These little spawns of hotdogs and sausages are absolutely smart. They can learn various commands and remember them, but once they're not in the mood... don't expect them to finish their Potty Training 101 course.

#4 Notice me human!



Timmy can very much tolerate other pets in the house.... as long as you notice him... all the time. Our little friend can get quite jealous when they're not the center of attention. He is  very attached to his human and would love it to spend day and night with Mommy Sharla. If she leaves, little Timmy cries.

#5 Y U SAD? DUN BE SAD.... I MAKE LAFS



You are exhausted from work or just having a bad day at school and can't wait to go home to rest. You see your little Papi waiting for you at your doorsteps. He sees you then he starts running around wildy. In the middle of his running  he trips and stumbles to your feet. You laugh at him and feel like your tiredness went away. Whether he meant it or not, the dachshund is a natural comedian. Sometimes, their curiosity will lead to something hilarious.

#6 I cuddle you, you cuddle me. Happy cuddles day!



Dachshunds are very affectionate animals... and a bit clingy too. They love to be by your side, leaning their head on your leg. They give you little pooch kisses. They sit on your lap when you watch TV...They curl up beside you when you lie down. Who needs a stuffed toy to cuddle with when you have your warm little friend with you?

#7 I'll always be your pooch for the rest of my life

 Like any other dogs, you are their most important person. They will spend their entire lives guarding you, easing your pains,and lend their ears to listen to you when you need them. They won't judge you. All they care about is they love you... that's why we should return that love by simply taking good care of them. Because one day , the time will cime that we'll wake up without them. The companion we spent our time with will one day be gone and we will have to live on without them. The hardest day a pet parent have to deal with.

Laguna's Sweet Empire arises

Get your sweet tooth ready, because a new shop called Empire of Sweets has started satisfying our tastebuds. Its queen, Eunice Navarro of Paete, Laguna began selling her own banoffee pies through online and phone orders. New products was added later on due to positive feedback from happy customers. With a price range of 100 to 330 pesos, it's pretty reasonable compared to other shops with prices higher than the size of their products. What's in for this budding business? We'll see soon enough. They don't have a physical store yet so if  you want to try out their sweets, just click HERE or their logo above and you shall be redirected to Hogwarts... I mean, their facebook page. And hopefully, someday, we'll finally see this shop physically, even better, a branch of it when we walk down the street or even inside malls. It's a pretty big dream for a small business but hey, small seedlings can grow into magnificent trees if you give loads of care and attention to it.

Bonchon Chicken: Creamy Curry Bibimbowl

So, I went to eat dinner at Bonchon Chicken today and saw that they have this new product that I decided to try: their Creamy Curry Bibimbowl. It's basically bibimbowl with a touch of  korean curry, and still come out in two flavors : chicken and beef. It's the same price as their regular bibimbowl too (99PHP for ala carte and 155PHP for the rice box meal).

I actually decided to try this out because I like curries and I seldom eat them because mom doesn't make them at home.... because she doesn't like it. When my order arrived, I decided to make a blog about it so ta-daaahhh~ here it is! Creamy Curry has the usual chicken/beef in it, green peas, potatoes, onions and of course the curry sauce. It tastes like the regular curry, only with the chicken fillet. I wasn't able to finish it (I finished the soup though lol!) because it has a weird after-taste to me, I dunno why, I usually love curry.... maybe it's the onions? I don't like onions so maybe that's why. The grean peas are kinda hard to chew also that's why I didn't like it that much. So yeah, instead of finishing the rice bowl I ended up taking the beef soup to ward off the taste.  Sadly, it didn't work for me so I'll be reverting to my usual regular chicken bibimbowl. New! Bonchon Chicken, Bibimbowl

First food post! Yey! Lol!!

Tonight I'll talk about... Bonchon Chicken's new product, which is the Bonchon Bibimbowl. It is inspired by the Korean meal called Bibimbap which literally meant "mixed rice".
Bonchon's bibimbowl costs  99php each for ala carte and 155php for a complete meal with drinks and soup.

This is the third time I've ordered this so far, I always choose chicken... because I don't like beef, I find them hard to chew. Burgers are excluded hahaha!
So here it is the chicken bibimbowl. It looks almost the same as it looks like on the advertisement only the ads are more neat (well of course! *insert my bestfriends voice here*). So they have carrots, chicken, fried eggs, dried seaweed/nori... I dunno how it's called in Korean. And then there's spicy sweet and sour sauce in the middle. And as you can see they used a bowl...look at all the rice down there.

As you normally eat a bibimbap, you mix it first... who doesn't mix it? It's supposed to be mixed people!

Bonchon's Bibimbowl tastes great honestly, the ingredients compliment each other well, and I like how they used fried chicken on it. Plus it's price is pretty cheap, it will really satisfy your hunger.
But sadly.. I prefer Mr. Kimbob's Bibimbap, why? Let's see... I think Bonchon's version lacks some spicy factor in it? Plus Mr. Kimbob uses sunny side-ups on their bibimbaps which adds to the flavor of their meal. The sauce they (Bonchon) put isn't enough to cover all those ingredients. It still tastes good though. I'll probably have another bowl when I go to SM.

Agmuos Core.....On Hiatus???

I suppose some of you know about Agmuos Core and that I'm one of the authors of the said series, no? I hate you (=3=) ... Just kidding! xD

For those who doesn't have a single idea what Agmuos Core is all about please check it out here.
Now, for those who has been reading some of the Agmuos Core stories, you may have noticed that the publishing of the series suddenly stopped around October of last year. Well, as some of you may have speculated, yes.. it's on hiatus due to a number of reasons; and no it isn't cancelled (thankfully). And to answer your questions to why the sudden halt of this project, I will be giving you some of the factors regarding this matter.

#1 Most of its writers are full-time college students

As mentioned on the AC's page, it is a project being done by a college organization. As much as we wanted to encourage them to write continuously, we respect the fact that they are in school to prioritize their studies before doing any extra-curricular activities.  We even talk to them when their grades drop.

#2 The alumni members are full-time employees

Among the writers of AC are three alumni, and two of them (I'm not included for I am unemployed) are full-time employees now. And since now that we're out of the campus doors, all we can do is to guide our juniors on what to do with the project. We also have our own parts in the story but... well.... reality strikes. I'm working on it.... I'm trying.... just you wait you...

#3 Unsatisfied with their work

Since we are a bunch of amateur writers, doubting our work happens pretty often. We suddenly want to change something that goes way back resulting to a time consuming editing process.

#4 Writer's block

Every writer goes through this once in a while, and we are not excused from it. There are times we don't even know what's gonna happen next because we can't think of anything to add on our story.

#5 Underdeveloped character/story

We are indeed amateurs and total newbies when it comes to writing novels, but that doesn't mean we'll let you read clumsy works. We want to try our best to make our readers remember what they read from us. Now, we're not trying to be authors of the "next Harry Potter " but we want our work to be worth remembering. Especially that each story reflects what happens to us and our organization in real life. So when we see that a character or a story is lacking, we often edit it, thus, taking more time.

So there it is, five reasons in which I think why AC went on hiatus. We will try our best to get back as soon as we can, we will have a meeting about it... probably during vacation. Thank you very much for those who read the series and are actually looking forward to the next updates. We are very sorry for making you wait for so long, and thank you for understanding.

Aldub Nation: The Bad Side

Okay, first of all, I myself is an Aldub fan. I watch Kalyeserye and follow Maine Mendoza and Alden Richard's social media. So I am writing this as your dear ol' regular fangirl... cuz I am a fangirl even before I knew about Aldub. And please be reminded that this post is opinionated, it is not intended to bash of offend anyone, I'm just stating what I observed. Also, I am not generalizing, I just meant SOME OF THEM.

Let's start with the negatives before I forget what they are:

1. Crossing the Line. I keep on seeing Aldub on every single social media sites I have and I can't help but notice those "Aldub vs. -insert Kpop group here-", "Aldub vs. -hollywood couple-", And the one that really got into me "Aldub is better than AKB48". Seriously guys? Seriously? I do understand how proud you are with Aldub and their fanbase but what is the point of comparing them with other international stars? Do you know what you're doing is ruining Aldub's image as well?  You are inviting haters by doing that. So I see no point on provoking other bigger fan-base out there. Yes, Aldub can now be watched on CNN and other international news, but not all foreigners would even care what in the friggin' world "Aldub" is. It is not a good idea to be aggressive to other fandoms because just like you, they will not hesitate to protect their idols. 
2. #PatolPaMore. On every negative post about Aldub, so called "Aldub Warriors" appear and rant that person down.  You know everyone has their own opinion and they're just sharing theirs as I am sharing mine right now. Every time you cyber-bully them it will not even ease the tension. You're just making things worst. Let them rant! It will naturally show their personality. As a line from Memoirs of a Geisha says "Sometimes, the smartest remark is silence."
3. Magpahinga ka naman uyyyyy! There are fans there who talk about aldub 24/7 like seriously guys... stop! Can't you think of another topic? Hearing about the same people every single day is annoying... even for a fan like me. I do understand that Kalyeserye is a good stress reliever okay? But puh-lease...
4. #StalkPaMore. I see nothing wrong with stalking someone's account but not to the point of hacking them. Even Alden's sister got her IG account hacked. That is invasion of privacy people. Oh, another thing is, I heard about people camping in front of the Mendoza Family's house. That is so overboard, try to respect other people's personal space. 
5. #KurotPaMore. I know you're just excited and happy that you get to see them up close. But why... WHY do you need to grab them... WILDLY!... They are HUMANS, not rag dolls. They get hurt. Why don't you be contented with giving them a high five or waving at them? No need to touch. Close kayo? Close? My goodness, have some breeding guys. Control yourselves.

It is no doubt, the accidental pairing of Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza and Alden Richards became very successful and is now the hottest celebrity love team of 2015. Their rise to fame in just a few months is truly astonishing. So are their fans who supported them all the way, who even broke the twitter world record last October 24, which is pretty awesome, aside from that there are positive things about the Aldub Nation too:

1. Aldub as an inspiration. Many fans made Aldub their inspiration to create different works of art ranging from drawings, songs, stories, murals, and even wood carvings.
2. Aldub as a way of living. Fans now, especially kids, are following Lola Nidora's life lessons.
3. As a Nation. The Aldub Nation is a symbol of unity for us Filipinos.

Er.. that's all I could think of for now.

True that the Aldub Nation is powerful, but at least use that unity in a positive manner.

Review: Jurassic World

The sci-fi adventure film, Jurassic Park comes back with its fourth installment, Jurassic World. Twenty-two years after the events on JP, Isla Nublar now has a fully functional dinosaur theme park; with all kinds of facilities and attractions... which includes by the way.. Rexy the T-Rex from the first three movies (finally they managed to handle the dinos while ensuring the people's safety... or so we think). However, ten years after the park first opened to the public, they are beginning to  experience decline in visitor rates. And so.. they came up with this crazy idea of creating a genetically modified dinosaur using multiple  strand of genes from different predatory animals, to re-spark the people's interest once again. Seriously? have we not learned anything from the previous movies? Why a predator?

So.. the movie begins with these two kids going on a trip to the island where their aunt works. But she is too busy with her work to look after them so she had someone else accompany them. The boys enjoy the park including their visit with Rexy while their Aunt Claire is very busy recruiting new investors and the introduces the Indominus Rex. She calls the Owen Grady, a Velociraptor trainer to inspect this new specie before opening up her exhibit to the public. Owen then warns her that I-rex is dangerous since it never socialized with other dinosaurs. And it appeared he was right after this clever creature managed to escape and started terrorizing the island (when will they learn their lesson?) only to be finally stopped by Blue, one of Owen's raptors and Rexy who was obviously not happy with having a new dino take his place as the antagonist. (yey Rexy!)

I'd say.. Jurassic World is great. Not to mention the CGI dinos are good too. The makers of this film taught us once again to not meddle too much with mother nature's works or we suffer the consequences in the future. With the Indominus Rex symbolizing humans' desire for more even though everything we have is already within our reach, it leaves a lesson that our own excessive desires could destroy us. That's a pretty good lesson don't you think? Not to mention many people of this age is never satisfied and they want a faster, louder, stronger, and bigger dinosaur to fulfill their desires.

"Should I watch Jurassic World?" - I'd say Yes! It's pretty good ;) Cheer for Rexy who saved the day! <3 She finally did something good after all these years.

"What should I look forward to while watching the film?" -- Uhm... when I wast watching, I was pretty occupied with figuring out that species were used to create the Indominus Rex lol. Even though some species were mentioned, there are a lot that remained untold and is up to the viewer to figure if out.
